With more than twenty years of experience in the construction industry, Laura brings an exceptional combination of technical knowledge, commercial expertise, and genuine passion for working with people.
Laura began her career with a national timber company, where she developed an early understanding of building materials and how they perform within construction. Keen to build on this knowledge, she completed a three-year course with the Institute of Wood Science before progressing to an HNC in Construction and later continuing her studies at Salford University.
Her career subsequently took her into the builders' merchanting sector, where she initially worked in sales before progressing to Area Sales Manager for a national builders' merchant. This experience gave Laura an invaluable understanding of the commercial and supply side of construction, as well as helping her establish an extensive network of trusted contacts throughout the industry.
Today, those relationships are a real asset. Laura has an exceptional knowledge of building materials, products, and suppliers, and when something is needed for a project, she invariably knows where to find it. From sourcing specialist or hard-to-find materials to negotiating competitive prices and identifying the right products for the job, Laura combines her industry connections with more than two decades of experience to deliver genuine value for clients.
Her understanding goes far beyond procurement. With a strong technical knowledge of building materials and construction methods, Laura understands how buildings are put together and the practical considerations behind successful design and construction. She is also highly experienced in identifying and working with reputable subcontractors and trusted businesses, helping to bring together the right people and resources for each project.
Client relationships are at the heart of Laura's approach. Friendly, professional, and naturally personable, she enjoys being face to face with clients and becoming genuinely involved in their projects. She particularly enjoys design meetings, where her practical construction knowledge is complemented by a keen eye for interiors, finishes, and the finer details that can transform a space.
Known for being approachable, resourceful, and always ready for a laugh, Laura believes that professionalism and great service should also come with a human touch. Her extensive industry knowledge, strong relationships, and ability to get things done make her someone clients, suppliers, and contractors can rely upon.
Away from work, Laura loves spending time with her family and dogs and enjoys getting outdoors for a good walk. She is also passionate about cooking and is happiest when the kitchen is busy and there are plenty of people around the table to feed.
