Fred is our experienced quantity surveyor and a hugely valuable member of the team, bringing many years of construction and commercial expertise to our projects.
Having worked within local authority as well as for some of the UK's larger construction companies, Fred has gained a wealth of experience across a wide range of projects. Commercially minded, meticulous, and highly knowledgeable, he has a great understanding of what it takes to keep a project financially on track without compromising on quality.
From monitoring project costs and valuations to working closely with subcontractors and keeping on top of variations, Fred provides a commercial oversight that helps our projects run smoothly from start to finish. He works closely with our site managers and wider project team, ensuring everyone has a clear understanding of where a project stands, and that costs remain controlled throughout the construction process.
With his extensive experience, practical approach, and eye for finer details, Fred is someone the team can always rely upon. He has an uncanny ability to keep the numbers on track, particularly the ones the rest of us might prefer we didn't notice.
Outside of work, Fred has recently completed the Three Peak Challenge. He enjoys a quiet pint on a Sunday and is a big rugby supporter. Fred can often be found on the touchline supporting his local rugby team where his sons play. Fred is an all-around genuine, easygoing person, which for a quantity surveyor who spends his days keeping a very close eye on everyone else's money is no mean feat. With a great sense of humour and an approachable nature, he's a pleasure to work with and a hugely valued member of the team.
