Known for being firm but always fair and approachable, Stephen has a natural ability to command respect on-site while building excellent relationships with the people around him. Whether he's working with subcontractors, trades, suppliers, or clients, his straightforward manner, good humour, and wealth of experience make him an incredibly popular and trusted member of the team.
Over the years, Stephen has managed projects across the country, travelling to sites throughout the UK. This breadth of experience has given him an extensive understanding of construction, site management, and the day-to-day challenges that come with keeping a project running safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Stephen is someone we know we can depend on. His knowledge and experience mean he is excellent at anticipating potential issues, finding practical solutions, and keeping work moving. Thorough, trustworthy, and committed to doing things properly, he takes real pride in maintaining standards and ensuring everyone on-site knows exactly what is expected of them.
Despite his no-nonsense approach, Stephen is very much a people person. He's well known among the team for his stories, his sense of humour, and his ability to create a positive atmosphere on-site. Away from construction, Stephen has always enjoyed keeping active. Having run marathons around the world, these days his real passion is walking, and he particularly enjoys spending time exploring the Lake District. He is a lifelong dog lover and loves spending time with his grandchildren. Stephen is also a devoted Manchester United supporter and not just from the comfort of his home. His passion for the club has taken him around the world to watch them play, creating lots of memories and, unsurprisingly, giving him even more stories to tell on-site.
